The most carefree and joyful stop of this incredible journey is the beautiful Sicily, where history, art and nature intertwine in an enchanting sea of emotions. Wild beaches, ancient ruins, squares surrounded by Baroque palaces, frame this Mediterranean place which embodies one of the most mysterious and more ancient Italian beauties. In Arethusa, a precious perfume extract, all the colorful sounds of Sicily are enclosed. The tasty fruits, combined with wild flowers with sublime effluvi, and then reverberate in wood -smelling woods of the plants of the Mediterranean scrub, harmoniously opposed to the spices that surround Syracuse and the beautiful island of Ortigia. This creation was a journey to the origin and a dizziness of dream that characterizes the graceful spirit of a fresh midsummer night, in front of a bonfire by the sea.
Arethusa is a character of Greek mythology, daughter of Nereo and Doride. The God Alfao, son of the Ocean God, fell in love with her spying her on a bare bath. Arethusa, however, fled from his attention, escaping on the island of Ortigia, in Syracuse, where the goddess Artemis turned it into a source. Zeus, moved by Alfa's pain, changed him to the river in turn, thus allowing him, by the Peloponnese, Greece, to travel the whole Ionian Sea to join the beloved source. Even today the myth relives on the island of Ortigia thanks to the so -called source Arethusa, a mirror of water that leads to the large port of Syracuse.
