A symphony of fine grain brown woods turns into a sweetly opulent perfume.
There is a new light on the immemorial perfume of the precious woods with OR's rosewood, which arrives in a smoking palette of the land of burned Siena, lacquered red and melted gold.
The idea was born from a rosewood tree, also known as Dalbergia Sissoo, which historically was the main species of rosewood of northern India. Another type of rosewood, the "rosewood", reminiscent of intricate carved carvings and serene Asian groves, has provided the path towards inspiration. "I can't create excessively figurative fragrances," explains the perfumer Alberto Morillas. "For me a perfume is a melody".
His interpretation of 2015 is a lactiginous light, which shines through wood, so shiny as to be transformed into silk. Abstract but intensely evocative, rosewood d'or expresses the quintessence of Alberto Morillas' style, defined by the teacher in three words: "fluidity, transparency and power".
In this dazzling olfactory inlay, crystalline amber, a natural musk with facets of rose, pear and Iris, illuminates rich inlays of fresh spices, pink pepper, coriander and nutmeg. While the intense heat of cinnamon rises, the perfume opens its heart to reveal its secret: a rare Sri Lanka sandal wood extract. Thinly smoked, with pink and creamy shades, it is made even more succulent by the dairy heat of the Copahu balm and by a velvety patchouli extract. The scent of Ambrox, an intriguing melting of warm and clean bark and skin kissed by the sun, incorporates its delicate reasons wherever it is sprayed.
In addition, a bold trio of cedar essences adds structure and consistency to the brilliant mixture. The cedar of the Clean and Toning Virginia gives him vigor and rhythm. The facet of tea Lapsang Souchong of Chinese cedar brings delicacy, while the Alaska cedar brings the smoking of the Russian leather. "It is a 'monochromatic' by color and density, with a strong signature and very special and bold ingredients," says Morillas. "But it is still very wearable and full of facets that can resonate differently on different skin."
Aedes de Venustas Puntoasandre d'Or has now been carefully transferred to a new precious ship: a grooved glass bottle characterized by peacock accents, a matte black cap with imprinted coats of arms and an elegant but heavy design that marks the next chapter of the collection Aedes. History of De Venustas.
Seren and mystical, rosewood of OR is a journey into the quintessence of wood.
