"Vetiver": the sound is so French that it deceives. In reality, "Vettiveru" is the name by which, in Tamil language, a plant with long roots is indicated, also valuable as textile material. From them an amber essential oil is extracted by distillation. The origins therefore take us to the south of India, but for the vetiver of Perris Monte Carlo we were looking for a special olfactory experience. After hearing the most used varieties, which come from the Antilles - Haïti and Bourbon - we went to ancient Java. The largest and most populous island of the probe archipelago still retains something about his mysterious aura. Perhaps it is the proximity of great volcanoes still active: the fact is that the Java vetiver does not have the clean linearity of his relatives. On the contrary, it is pungent, angular, smoked and almost burnt, with sudden green nuances, flowery and spicy. The fragrance that was born is perfect for those who face today's challenges: a woody and intense heart that opens up in reading floral notes.
