Paul Vacher created Special for Gentlemen in 1947, his first male fragrance, the same year in which he composed Miss Dior for Christian Dior, with a goal in mind: to express the personality of the real gentlemen, who combine delicacy and security, distinction and masculinity. Of course, this has never prevented the ladies from borrowing the perfume.
