The Tuileries candle finds its inspiration in a rare preserved document
at the French National Archive: La Gazette des Atours de la Reine.
In what looks like a normal notebook, the countess Geneviève d’Ossun, one
French courtesan who was a company lady and first bridesmaid of Mary's honor
Antonietta, has collected numerous fabric samples used to pack the
clothes and completes of sovereigns.
