An aura emanates from the hair. The olfactory portrait of Orphéon, a historic Parisian jazz club frequented by the founders of Diptyque in the 1960s.
The warmth of the tonka bean, the depth of the cedar, the richness of the jasmine and the liveliness of the juniper berries are intertwined between spirals of tobacco and burnished wood. An iconic atmosphere in a light scented mist.

Paris, early 1960s. The Saint-Germain neighborhood vibrates to the rhythm of the jazz clubs and meetings between artists that liven up the night. In this atmosphere stood the Orphéon, a much loved bar, an effervescent place full of artistic encounters. It is here that the three founders of the nearby Diptyque boutique meet to dance, laugh and discuss the world, in an atmosphere as lively as it is elegant.

A tribute to creative friendships and an olfactory capsule of time, Orphéon immortalises a place from the past. At the center of the composition, the atmosphere of that unforgettable place, recognizable thanks to the warmth of the tonka bean, the depth of the cedar and the liveliness of the juniper berries, where curls of tobacco smoke mix with powdery trails of vintage cosmetics, which linger on polished wood.
