Description

Soft clouds of ardent copal who hovering on Tulum inspire a beach perfume like no one else.

Mayan incense that rises from ancient temples. Browse of marine splashes and jungle puffs where the jaguar lurks. Aedes de Venustas Copal Azur exhaes the lush and spiritual vibrations of the Sacra Tulum.

The Copal Mayan incense is the inspiring muse of Copal Azur, brought to life by the perfume Bertrand Duchaufour in 2014, also the author of the first perfume of Aedes de Venustas, Signature. Incense is an olfactory wire that crosses a large part of the Aedes de Venustas collection. This millenary holocaust to the gods is at the very origin of perfumery, since the word itself "perfume" derives from the Latin to smoke, which means "through smoking". Who better than Duchaufour can bring the incense from the Church to the jungle of the sea?

Surprisingly similar to incense, the Cigale, whose name means "incense" in Nahuatl, can be extracted from a variety of trees originating in Central and Southern America. And just like incense in ancient Egypt or in Greece, it was burned by the Mayans and the Aztecs to "feed" the gods. Today it is still used in Mexico for spiritual purposes. Since the copal resin cannot be used as an ingredient for perfumes, three different to evoke it from the head notes to the basic ones are used incentive extractions, which constitute an extravagant 30% of the formula.

The co-founder of Aedes de Venustas Karl Bradl was attracted by his perfume while pedaling on the Costa of the Yucatan peninsula through the air imbued with Copal towards the Sian Kaâ'an Nature Reserve, which translates as "Porta del Paradiso" .

Just as the Mayan citadel looms on the lush paradisiacal beach of Tulum, a steep mineral cliff of incense dominates the olfactory landscape of Copal Azur. The ozonic and savory notes recall the Caribbean Sea and the local Centes, the underground swimming pools of fresh water that dot the Yucatan peninsula. A flash of greenery refers to the lush Mexican jungles, the cardamom peeks through the humid and woody undergrowth of patchouli and myrrh, and a touch of tonka and amber bean to the scent of almond, for the god god of the earth's fire, refers to the roundness of the copal and the fire of its embers. Copal Azur is hypnotic, spiritual and powerful, a wildly transporting perfume with an iconoclastic expression of incense in the center.

Aedes de Venustas Copal Azur has now been carefully transferred to a new precious ship: a grooved glass bottle characterized by peacock accents, a matte black cap with impressed coats of arms and an elegant but heavy design that marks the next chapter of the Aedes de collection Venustas. history.
