Like a monochrome painting, the new fragrance from BDK Parfums explores the strange power of black, no longer perceived as a shadow, but revealed as a source of light. Sixth creation of the Matières Collection, Vanille Caviar is a perfume in which matter becomes radiance thanks to vanilla processed to the extreme, elevated to the status of a noble ingredient. Here, the soft and delicious vanilla becomes black, dense, material and yet permeated with light. Originating from an orchid, vanilla comes from a majestic flower of an almost ethereal beauty. Its sensuality and sweet, engaging scent find a vibrant echo here. You can perceive the deep black grains, subtly shimmering. A raw and precious material, like vegetable caviar. The fragrance is structured around a single olfactory raw material: vanilla, revealed in all its nuances by the CO₂ extract and the absolute. Cocoa and resinous materials, Peruvian balsam and labdanum, reveal all its richness and depth. In the heart, a vanilla caviar accord with salty and mineral accents, as precious as it is unique. All around, subtle contrasts: the freshness of cardamom, the fruity brightness of blackcurrant, the warmth of cocoa beans. Here, the light no longer comes from a golden glow or a solar chord; emanates from the very heart of vanilla and the notes that accompany it. A truly black vanilla, apparently dark but vibrant, alive, like those works of art that change throughout the day, depending on the light, the shadows or the gaze. A sensual and enveloping composition, at the same time singular, modern and timeless.
